OBAMA OPPOSSES ON OVERSEAS NURESES

U.S. President Barack Obama is opposing the idea of welcoming other country nurses, including from India, to ful fill the huge vacancy the United States is having. United states is faced with deep shortage of nurses and in the recent years allowed medical personnel candidates from India, China and Philippines to immigrate. The action that we will have to import nurses makes absolutely no sense at all, Mr. Obama told a gathering of health experts and lawmakers in a White House meeting. Mr. Obama said that the best positive approach to meet this problem was to train people we need inside the America.

For people who get fired up about the immigration debate and yet don’t notice that we can be training nurses right here in the United States, he said responding to an Question. We have a very huge shortage of nurses now. Estimates are that the U.S. will be lacking over 5,00,000 nurses in the next seven years, said Democratic lawmaker Ms. Capps. Last week, legislation was introduced in the U.S. Congress to create special category of nursing visas which would show much faster and easier bringing of well trained nurses from Asian countries such as India.
