US president Mr.Obama had talked with Pakistan president asif ali zardari for the first time after assuming office,and both leaders agreed to start an active engagement for solving the issues facing the region the Pakistan government said. Pakistan’s foreign ministry detailed the telephone conversation first direct interaction since Mr.obama took his post.The two leaders exchanged views on both way relations, other issues and the situation in the region. They also had discussion ongoing Pakistan and Afghanistan. Both leaders underscored the need for a joint method to make peace and social security of the region.
Mr.Zaradi hoped the discussion will bring a beneficial change for the world, in particular the US-Pakistan relationship.In the same time, Mr. Holbrooke visited Peshawar,a bomb attack in the north west frontier province capital killed a provincial legislator and left eight others injured.Police said the attack is made by remote bomb blast on the motorbike in the highly crowded area.Mr. Holbrooke met the NWFP Governor, Owais Ghani, and also visited Mohamand Agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, where the Pakistan Army is carrying out operations against militants.
