The global summits have a lot of significance for the politicians, councilors and reporters coving it. For the common man it is of no importance as they have very little or no impact in their lives. But the British Prime minister, Gordon Brown has lot of faith in the G20 meeting to be held in London. He is hopeful that the summit will be fruitful in re- establishing him and his Labour party. At the same time he is worried about the transient and artificial nature of these meetings.
He is devoting a large amount of his time, energy and political recourses to make this summit a success. He has positioned his best and brightest assistants like Jeremy Heywood, Stewart Wood and Baroness Vadera. They are busy creating strong network with Obama and other leaders around the globe.
All these mirrors Brown’s strong point: his knowledge of global economic concern. In the g20 summit, the leaders of all the powerful nations of the world will come together to find out ways to curb the growing inflation and to help the universal economy to recuperate.
